SKYTREES

Provides living conditions for endangered wild bee species and helps to counteract the current decline.
Contributes to creating a more diverse urban nature increasing insect life and increased pollination of planting.
Helps educate the city's citizens, users and tourists about the importance of urban nature and biodiversity.

PRODUCT

*The world's first skyscrapers for wild bees

We create populations of wild bees in urbanised areas through the world's first skyscraper for insects called Skytrees. Skytrees are vertical sculptures that strengthen the living conditions of wild bees by providing housing, nourishment and security in one construction.

Skytrees consists of well-suited natural materials, such as wood, stone etc., that wild bees prefer to live and breed in.Skytrees also incorporate pockets of wildflowers, providing a source of nectar for the bees, but also serving as an education tool on flower species to the public.

Skytrees deliver their own ecosystem and at the same time solid build, so only little maintenance is required without it affect the quality of the product's purpose.

TEAM

Our team consists of a diverse selection of competent people, all with different backgrounds to complement each other's strengths to developer the best solutions. Among these are, for example, an architect, an engineer, a strategy & business consultant and a bee expert.

But we all have one thing in common - that we want to save wild bees through innovative thinking and bring more diverse and wild nature to urbanized areas.

Our Skytrees are continuously being developed with guidance and knowledge from Danmarks Naturfredningsforening -

The Danish Society for Nature Conservation & Dansk Biavler Organisation - Danish Beebreeder Association. The reason for this is, so we create the best possible conditions for wild bees and their needs.

We have come a long way and are now ready to build our first Skytree. We're right now looking for areas around Copenhagen to place our first Skytrees. If you're an associate with a park or another urbanised area and would like to save the bees and increase the biodiversity and nature at your specific place, you're more than welcome to reach out at info@vildbee.com.
